Bookstore DONATIONS

Your donations of books and materials in good condition—fiction and non-fiction; children’s and adult; hardcover and paperback—are critical to the success of our efforts to provide a well-stocked bookstore, have frequent book sales, and support the library.

Guidelines for donating books—-
-Good condition (Would you buy it?)

-No encyclopedias
-No old computer books, business books or textbooks

We no longer sell magazines, DVDs, CDs or audio books in the store. We do have a way to sell them to outside buyers, so please feel free to donate
-DVDs
-CDs
-Audio books

For magazines—-
-National Geographics are always acceptable to the buyer.
-Other magazines—ONLY after checking with us to be sure that our buyers will take the particular ones you want to donate. They usually want only specialty magazines. (Check with us here: roswellgafriends@gmail.com)

Yes—-we do take puzzles and games!

And, please, if you plan to recycle your books to another reader, do not listen to the decorator who tells you to take the dust jackets off your books; it is nearly impossible to sell a current book with no dust jacket.

There are no longer bins for donations in the lobby so please take your donations into the bookstore. There is a dolly in the bookstore for you to use to transport boxes from your car.

Tax receipts are available from the volunteer in the bookstore.

Monetary Donations: give a gift…

We happily accept donations! (More information coming….)

THE BOOKSTORE

Good books and great prices! Everything we sell is donated. You will find the Friends Bookstore just to your left as you enter the lobby of the library. We carry a large variety of gently used books all at bargain prices.

Everyone who works in the store is a volunteer. The proceeds benefit our library in many ways—for instance, to fund programs; to send staff to conferences; and to purchase books, supplies, and equipment. Our Friends group supplements and enriches what the Fulton County budget provides for our libraries. All contributions are tax-deductible.

The use of scanning devices is not permitted in the bookstore; scanners are not permitted at our booksales on the first day of the sale (Friday) but are permitted on Saturdays and Monday mornings.

We are entirely dependent on you for what we have to sell. Thank you for being so generous!
