Ah! A nice addition! The building is beginning to resemble the library again!
Not much but paint since the last picture. It will be interesting to see what the door will look like when done.
It seems that the official October finish date has now been replaced by “Thanksgiving, we hope,” but the AFPLS site hasn’t caught up. Still no news on the front of the library.
It was not possible to get close to the front of the library to take a picture today (Saturday) but maybe later in the week…. It will be interesting to see what the redesign has changed there.
The new design is now appearing on the rear (Norcross Street) of the library; there has been no change, to date, (other than the pouring of cement) to the front of the library since the May 13th picture was taken.
The work continues….
Continued progress! Note the new columns (presently yellow) and the brick facade being applied to the building.
Definite progress! Note the work on the clerestory as well as the design of the Norcross Street facade taking shape. The front of the building is fenced off and not available on weekends so no news there right now.
The following picture was taken on Monday, July 22nd. Workers had been there all weekend! Work is also being done on the windows in the clerestory and to the entrance of the library where all steps have been removed.
The following was taken on July 8th. Yes, there seems to be some progress….
June 30, 2019 Note the framing for the new, higher roof that’s now in place.
Since the May picture was taken, nothing obvious has happened; we have to hope they are working on the inside.
May 13th, 2019 No changes to the back of the library but the front is being worked-on, as shown below.
April 29, 2019 No changes to the outside; nothing being done inside.
