ROSWELL READS 2008!

The 2008 Roswell Reads selection is The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards.

The March 29th Literary Luncheon with author Kim Edwards (The Memory Keeper's Daughter) was a great success! Almost 200 people attended the final event held at the Roswell Adult Recreation Center on Grimes Bridge Road. The author spoke eloquently about the writing process and read moving excerpts from her poignant novel. Many thanks to the Roswell Reads Steering Committee, the Friends of the Roswell Library, our generous sponsors, and all of the volunteers who helped make this year's program the best one ever!

Imagine hundreds of Roswell residents sharing the experience of reading and discussing a common book and you have the essence of Roswell Reads. It is based on the "One Book...One City" community reading programs that have swept across the country. Roswell Reads activities will include book discussions, author events, and more. Our ultimate goal is to encourage residents of all ages and interests to read, read, and then read some more.

Scroll through the listings of activities below to learn more about the exciting events held in celebration of this year's program.

About the Book:  The Memory Keeper's Daughter

A rich and deeply moving page-turner, The Memory Keeper's Daughter captures the way life takes unexpected turns and how the mysterious ties that hold a family together help us survive the heartache that occurs when long-buried secrets burst into the open.
